Curtis Law, 92, of Rosebud, Texas and formerly of Franklin, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 in Temple. He was born on May 5, 1920 in Cedar Springs, Texas to Clyde B. and Fannie B. Nickols Law. Mr. Law was a World War II Veteran serving in the United States Army in the Pacific. He married his wife, Ora Lee on June 15, 1940. He and his family moved to Franklin in 1946. He was a self-employed farmer/rancher and was a resident of Franklin for 64 years. Mr. Law was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Franklin for 60 plus years until his health failed and he was no longer able to live by himself. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1980. He is survived by: Son – Robert C. Law and wife Kathy of Diana, Texas; Daughters – Betty Jane Ray and husband Robert of Longview, Texas; Bonnie Self and husband John of Lott, Texas; 6 Grandchildren – Robert Ray, Sherri Ross, Kristie Self, Angela Davila, Christopher Law and Christina Duncan; and 12 Great Grandchildren
Services were held on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the McCauley Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, Texas. Rev. Jimmy Sanders officiated. Burial followed in the Powers Chapel Cemetery in Cedar Springs, Texas. Visitation was held on Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 5-7 pm at McCauley Funeral Home
