Franklin Ladies run circles around the competition

Franklin hosted the District 24-AA track and field meet on Wednesday, April 10 and Thursday, April 11. The Lady Lions varsity team came up 26 points behind Centerville to finish second overall and advanced several runners to the Area meet. A few of the medal winners include; Carrie Casey taking silver in the High Jump, Natori Smith took the bronze in High Jump and silver in Long Jump. Dallas Dooley won silver in Pole Vault while Caroline Flippin took bronze in Pole Vault. Carrie Casey, Rachel Hood, Jessica Lopez and Regan Blajeski won the silver for their 1600 Relay while Carrie Casey, Dallas Dooley, Brittany Brantner and Natori Smith brought home the gold in the 800 Relay and Carrie Casey, Kyla Walker, Brittany Brantner and Natori Smith won gold in the 400 Relay. Kyla Walker took home gold in the 300 Meter Hurdles while Regan Blajeski brought home the silver for 300 Meter Hurdles. In the 100-meter hurdles it was a Franklin trifecta with Kyla Walker winning gold Brittany Scott taking the silver and Regan Blajeski with the bronze.
The Franklin JV Girls Won The District Championship and will move several runners on to the Area meet as well. Congratulations to all of these talented youth.
