The Texas Land Title Association (TLTA), one of the state’s oldest trade associations, recently presented Linda McAtee, an escrow officer with Guaranty Title Company of Robertson County, with the esteemed Professional Excellence Award. The award recognizes those in the title industry who are making a difference behind the scenes and highlights their extraordinary achievement. Their co-workers or peers nominate winners of this award, and all received strong recommendations.
“We are thrilled to present Linda with this award,” said Leslie Midgley, Executive Vice President and CEO of TLTA. “She truly exemplifies professional excellence in the Texas title industry.”
McAtee began working in the title industry in 1990. Since that time, she’s worked in all aspects of the business, including examination, commitment preparation, curative work, document preparation, closing and post-closing. She’s an expert in commercial agricultural transactions and manufactured housing and has trained numerous new employees in various aspects of the business. She was praised by those who nominated her for her willingness to mentor her co-workers.
Outside of work, McAtee enjoys teaching Sunday school, traveling with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren.
Founded in 1908 and serving more than 11,000 professionals, the Texas Land Title Association (TLTA) is a statewide trade association representing the land title industry in Texas. TLTA members provide certainty, efficiency and security to real estate transactions by conducting title searches, examinations, closings and issuing title insurance to protect real property owners and mortgage lenders against losses from defects in titles.
