National Night Out is a hit with local famillies
The Hearne and Calvert National Night Out’s were huge success. Many people showed up to get to know their community and have fun while doing it.
The Hearne event had many activities for children such as sack races, ring toss, disk drop, and beanbag toss. There were booths set up but other members of the community as well.
First Star Bank had a table set up with bags of popcorn, the Zero Tolerance group also set up a table with a popcorn machine and a bag-o board for children to enjoy.
Hot dogs were provided by Sonic and the Hearne Police Department gave away goodie bags in a drawing for all the kids.
The Calvert Event provided activities such as a water-slide, a coloring station, and a fire education station for kids to enjoy.
The Calvert Fire Department provided all the hotdogs and popcorn. There was a lot of time for greeting and getting to know all the emergency responders.
The fire department made sure they went and greeted themselves to everyone and talked to as many people as they could.
Both events were successful and very enjoyable. They hope to see everyone again next year!
