Ruth Helen Hall Cochran
Ruth Helen Hall Cochran, 91, of Calvert, passed away Monday, September 23, 2013 at St. Joseph Regional Healthcare in Bryan. A visitation was held Friday, September 27th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Heartfield-Ritter Funeral Home.
A funeral service was held Saturday, September 28th at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Calvert, Texas. Interment followed in Kaufman City Cemetery, Kaufman, Texas. Officiates were Todd Peavy of Victory Church, Scurry, Texas and
Reverend Ralph Powers of First Baptist Church, Calvert. Soloists were Charlotte Baxter who sang “Battle Hymn of the Republic” and Jerry Williams who sang “How Great Thou Art.” Pallbearers were Jeremy Cochran, Danny Cochran,
Billy Stanfield, Mark Stanfield, Wayne Hall, Joe Baxter, Kyle Gregory.
Mrs. Cochran had lived in Calvert since 1973. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Calvert.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Hall, and Florence Austin Hall; her beloved husband of 57 years, Herman Cochran; 3 Brothers and 2 Sisters.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Elizabeth Cochran of Calvert; her daughter, Jan Manning of Calvert; granddaughter, Amy Conner; grandson, Jeremy Cochran and wife, Kerri; granddaughter, Kimberly Heck and husband, Russell; granddaughter, Jennifer Brey and husband, P.J, granddaughter, Janice Sallee and husband, John; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were entrusted to Heartfield-Ritter Funeral Home.
