William R. Wiese, Jr.
William R. Wiese, Jr., 81, of Granbury, Texas, passed away at Harbor Lakes Nursing and Rehab facility on Thursday, October 3, 2013. He was born in Bremond, Texas on April 9, 1932 to William R. Wiese, Sr. and Johnnie Buice Wiese. He lived numerous places throughout his life and came back to String Prairie Cemetery near Calvert to be laid to rest.
Willie was in the Navy Reserve and was the owner of a motorcycle dealership. He had also been a locksmith. One fellow business owner described him as an icon in the motorcycle business.
A visitation was held at Heartfield-Ritter Funeral Home Sunday, October 6, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. where friends and family gathered. Funeral service was also held at Heartfield-Ritter Funeral Home on Monday, October 7, at 1:00 p.m. with burial that followed. The officiante was Mr. Wiese’s son, Richard Wiese. Organist was Dianne Blackmon. Pallbearers were his grandsons.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Franklin Wiese of Granbury, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law, William R. Wiese III and wife, Elizabeth of Florence, Texas; Richard Wiese and wife, Susan of Irving, Texas; Charles Wiese of Rockwall, Texas; a brother John Wiese of Mesquite, Texas; sisters and brothers-in-law, Janet Cantwell of Ft. Worth, Texas; Billie Joyce Taylor and husband, David of Richardson, Texas; Charlotte Campbell and husband, Tom of Canton, Georgia; 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.
Arrangements were under the direction of Heartfield-Ritter Funeral Home.
