Even with the weather being cold, The Bremond Christmas Committee hosted their annual Christmas parade and Main Street festival on Saturday, December 14, 2013. Booths were set up with goodies, nuts, pies and homemade bread.
In the parade Chamber of Commerce had a Live Nativity scene, the Christmas committee had a fireplace scene and the Bremond Middle and High School played Christmas tunes.
Prime Time Express Mounted Drill team raffled tickets for first place .270 caliber Remington Camo Rifle, second place 45 quart Yeti Cooler and third place Case pocket knife. All proceeds are for the drill team members to go to Canada to and perform in the Lion’s International Parade.
The doors were open at several shops on Main Street, one was the Bremond Museum. One on the most beautiful Christmas traditions in Bremond, the Cracow szopka (“shopkah”; plural: “shop-key”) were displayed inside. Volunteer Pam Mitchell gave insite on the history of Bremond and the Szopka.
The Christmas Committee President Janel Grych and all members wish all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
