Juanita Marie Johnson Brown, 87 of Hearne, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014 in College Station.
Visitation was held from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday January 10, at Glenn Mack Funeral home.
Celebration of life was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Old Elam Baptist Church; Rev. F.C. Lewis III, pastor and officiante. Juanita was laid to rest at Greater Riverside Cemetery.
Juanita “Dear” Brown was born on October 4, 1926 to the parents of Henry and Dessie Johnson. To this union three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. One sister, Florence Bernice Johnson, of Bryan, Texas. She confessed Christ at an early age.
She later met and married James Brown, Sr. to this union six children were born. Their oldest daughter, Artis preceded her in death. To cherish her memories she leaves, Charles and Wanda Johnson of Amarillo, Texas, Danny Brown of Hearne of Hearne, Texas, Earnest and Dinah Brown Thomas of Hearne, Texas, and Celester and Shanika Brown of Bryan, Texas, nine grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Her arrangement and care was entrusted to Glenn Mack Funeral Home.
