Tigers finding success
After a long break over the holidays, the Bremond Tigers got back to business as they entertained Dawson at home on Tuesday. The Tigers put together one of their best overall performances of the season, as they defeated Dawson 50-38.
For the Tigers it was a much needed win and hopefully will set the tone for the rest of the season as they begin district play on Friday, on the road against the Mart Panthers. The Tigers received some solid play from many players, including Hunter Stuard, RayAndre Browning, Evan Sargent, James Jones and Dawageik Scaggs. After a late start to their season Bremond has only played 7 games.
The Tigers and Coach Kasowski feel that the off time couldn’t have come at a more opportune time.
It gave them a chance to work on the rust of their game, and for Coach to actually find out who can and cannot play together. Having on the court chemistry is very important to team success.
Friday in Mart, the Bremond Tigers got an opportunity to test their newfound confidence. Mart is a perennial playoff squad and will provide a strong test for Bremond. Unfortunately the Tigers were unable to defeat the Panthers and dropped to 0-1 in district play.
On Tuesday the Tigers will travel to Chilton to play the Pirates and return home to play district favorite Axtell on Friday.
