Sara Ruth Schultz
Sara Ruth Schultz, 48, of New Baden, Texas, passed away on January 28, 2014 at MD Anderson Center in Houston, Texas.
Sara was born on October 8, 1965, in Marlin, Texas, to Paul and Ruth Schultz of New Baden, Texas. Sara graduated from Franklin High School in 1984. She attended Texas A&M University and graduated in 1988 with a degree in Kinesiology. Sara taught and coached for many years in Bryan and College Station before moving to Franklin to teach and coach.
Sara is survived by her husband, Scott Anderson of New Baden; parents, Paul and Ruth Schultz of New Baden; siblings and spouses, Charles and Mary Schultz of New Baden; Steve Schultz of New Baden, Joe and Julie Schultz of College Station and Susan and Bud Nelson of New Baden; nine nieces and nephews; Kyle Schultz, Kevin Schultz, Kenzie Schultz, Derek Schultz, Kriston Schultz, Ashley Schultz, Allie Schultz, Maddie Nelson and Abbie Nelson; and many friends and colleagues.
Services for Sara include Visitation Service on Thursday, January 30, 2014, at the McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin, Texas, from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be Friday, January 31, 2014, at 10am at the First Baptist Church in Franklin, Texas. Pallbearers are Kyle Schultz, Kevin Schultz, Derek Schultz, Scott Phillips, Joe Phillips and John Phillips. The family will be holding a private graveside service following the church service.
