John Oliver “Johnny” Miles, 70, of Seagoville passed away on Monday, February 10, 2014. Services are set for 1 p.m. Saturday February 15, at St. Paul Baptist Church with Rev. Johnathan Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in Greater Riverside Cemetery in Hearne. Visitation will be from 12 to 6 p.m. Friday. February 14, at Glenn Mack Funeral Home in Hearne.
John was born June 3, 1943 in Hearne to Marietta Mack Miles. He graduated from Blackshear high School in Hearne and attended Bishop College in Dallas. He accepted Christ at an early age and was an active member of St, Paul Baptist Missionary Church.
Survivors include his sons, Do Miles& Gregory Jackson; daughters, Marshell Wiggins and Arnold, Teresa Jackson, Margaret Wysinger and Percy, Halana “Pooh” Witherspoon and Kevin, all of Dallas; 16 grandchildren, six great grand children; two nephews, Ray Charles Owens and Jessie Patrick Owens; a niece, Debra Lynn Owens-Coleman and husband Donald; numerous great-nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends; including special cousins Laura Lewis and Angela “Gail” Wilson; God-sent care giving angel, Jacqueline Lewis, Lillie Edward, and Helen Lang.
His care and arrangements have been entrusted to Glenn Mack Funeral Home of Hearne,
