The Hearne Lady Eagles used the off week to improve upon their overall performance at the District Meet last week.  The Lady Eagles will carry both their 4 x 100 and the 4 x 200 meter relay teams to the Region Meet next week.  The team members of Zariah Villalpando, Zharia Mercer, Da”Quishayln Jenkins and Tenoria Edwards finished in 2nd both events and will need to do the same or better in order to advance to the State Championship. Working on improving their times will be the top priority for this week; we wish you the best of luck girls.  Zharia Mercer qualified in the 200 meters and Aileen Davaloz did also in the 800 meters, both could advance. With Kinnikinic Bundage in the shot put and discus and Edwards in triple jump, the Lady Eagles could get some valuable points.  Edwards barely missed qualifying in the long jump and the 100 meters, finishing 5th in both events.

Hearne has a huge shot in the 4 x 200 meter relay and 4 x 100 meter relay.  It will all play out this weekend in Whitehouse.
