Awesome new fire engine for Hearne Fire Department

For over a year now the Hearne Volunteer Fire Department has anticipated the arrival of their new fire engine. Members of the fire department went to Bradenton Florida to sit down with a Pierce Mfg sales representative to construct their new engine.

After planning and waiting the Hearne Volunteer Fire Department received their new engine on June 16.

This new fire engine has cab seating and a compressed air foam system. This system is designed to add foam with water to help smother a fire.
Pierce Mfg placed the Hearne Volunteer Fire Department logo on the seats inside the truck as well a on the back.

As of Monday June 23 the new engine was serviced and ready to use. This new engine replaced the engine that caught fire a few months ago.
Pierce Mfg has been manufacturing fire engines since 1913.

Pierce Mfg is located in Bradenton Florida and Appleton Wisconsin. Pierce began in 1913 with a few craftsmen building Model Ts in a former church and has evolved into a die-hard mission to help firefighters perform at their peak.

The Pierce staff are Tim Krause a paint tech for 40 years, Jim “Ziggy” Ziesemer for 32 years, the Van Domelen family for three generations, Dave Herzfeldt director of training, the Schaefer family for 100 plus years, Rick Miller as material coordinator, Vicki Bartelt as customer coordinator, Bill Fischer as manufacturing engineer/IPP, and Joe Sell as plan manager.
