Easter in the park for the eighth year
For the eighth year now the “Like Father Like Son Foundation” hosted its Calvert’s annual “Easter in the Park” celebration at Payne-Kemp Park on Easter Sunday in Calvert. Children of all ages hunted Easter eggs that were laid out carefully by the Easter bunny. He was a very busy bunny with over 10,000 eggs filled with candy or cash (including two eggs with a $100 prize) were hidden. The ester Bunny couldn’t leave without making an appearance.
Other activities available for the guests to enjoy were horseback rides, train rides, a petting zoo, face painting, cakewalk, dance contest, bounce house, and much more. Additionally, kids were able to win prizes such as toys and Easter baskets to enjoy. Many local food vendors provided snacks and drinks and DJ Young C provided music for entertainment.
