Mrs. Atchison is receiving a gift of love from the Hearne 4-H Chapter.

Giving makes a difference

As the Hearne Girls Scouts had finished their serenading the residents with Christmas Carols at the Crossroads Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility on Monday night the Hearne 4-H Chapter walked in to hand out Christmas presents to the residents.

I had to stop, turn around and take the photos. It was priceless to see the smiling faces as the children of all ages were giving out gift bags of bright festive colors to each of the residents.

The Hearne 4-H keeps this a tradition each year to bring a little holiday cheer to the residents to make their Christmas season bright.

When you give gifts, you are giving something willingly without wanting something in return. Making someone feel special is more than enough reason to make you give more. It tells the receiver that you were thinking about them.
