Hearne City Council meets remotely amid COVID-19

Covid 19 cases are on the rise in Robertson County, so the Hearne City Council chose to reschedule its regular City Council meeting on January 5th to Thursday January7th. This gave the Council a chance to prepare for its first meeting held remotely. All Council members were able to attend and still comment and vote, while allowing citizens to participate from home.

The Hearne 4A development board met on Tuesday, January 12th, despite various members being without power and some meeting remotely due to illness. A quorum was called and Emmitt Aguirre got right down to the business at hand of approving the last month’s minutes and moving quickly to talk about Hearne’s future economic development.
