Martin Luther King program at CHS

On January 13, 2017, Calvert High School held a ceremony for Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., honoring his legacy that affected the world we live in today. Members of the student council gave speeches about Dr. King’s personal life and accomplishments. The elementary choir performed 3 songs. Later that day Calvert’s own varsity boys and girls both had basketball games at home. The girls were not able to get the win falling short 44-52. The girls’ star player Essence Gilmore got injured in the fourth quarter. The boys were victorious only winning by two, as the score was 55-53.
