Literacy starts at birth

The Head Start Program in Hearne located at 710 Magnolia Street scheduled a parent meeting at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 28. The guest speaker was Cynthia Oser, M.Ed, LPC from the Larry J. Ringer Public Library in College Station.

The topic for the meeting was Literacy.

Literacy in the dictionary means the ability to read and write. Reading and writing are so important in our day-to-day lives and can you imagine what it can do for the children of our community. She shared information about teaching children how to learn before they are born.
