Cade Allen Mears

Cade Allen Mears, infant son of Eric and Julie Lynnea Reynolds Mears of Calvert, was born on June 14, 2017 at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in College Station. Shortly after birth, he was sent via life-flight to Baylor Scott & White, McLane Children’s Hospital in Temple with life threatening cardiac and respiratory issues. The Mears family was blessed to have 2 days with Cade before he went to be with his Heavenly Father. Cade received a lot of hugs, kisses, and “I Love You” from his family. Cade passed away peacefully in his parents’ arms on June 16. A memorial service is set for Thursday, June 22 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Calvert. Services will be officiated by Pastor Chris Lange and Dr. Stacy Cude. The College Station Fire Department will serve as Honor Guard. Cade’s family includes his parents, Eric and Julie Lynnea Reynolds Mears; his brother, Garrett ILika of Humble; grandparents, Jeff and Katy Mears of Calvert, Sharon Lantz of Dallas, Todd and Jill Reynolds of Pflugerville; great grandparents, Bob and Nancy Fosdick of Austin, Ray and Beverly Reynolds of San Antonio, Alice Ruth Bellomy of Calvert, Ernest and Debbie Smith of Garland, Ray and Margaret Herndon of Carrollton; aunts and uncles, Madnor Reynolds of Pflugerville, Heather and Jarrett McCrary; and cousins of Franklin, Stacy and Chris Cude and cousins of Franklin; and great aunt, Evelyn Seigler of Calvert. The family wishes to acknowledge the caring and expeditious treatment Julie and Cade received at Baylor Scott and White in College Station from the many doctors and nurses involved in their care. They would also like to thank the paramedics, driver, and pilot that took such amazing care of Cade and Julie during their transport from College Station to Temple. They would like to express their sincere thanks to the physicians, nurses, and staff who cared for Julie in obstetrics at Baylor Scott & White in Temple with special thanks to Nurse Jenna and Nurse Becky. Lastly, words cannot express how eternally grateful we are to the caring doctors, nurses, and staff in the NICU at Baylor Scott & White in Temple with special thanks to Nurse Alyssa, Nurse Maddie, and Dr. Shanti Baireddy Reddy.
