Golfing for Ginger
On September 23, 2017 there will be a Golf Tournament to help raise money for the Aleman family.
Ginger Huseman Aleman, aka “Big Nana” was diagnosed with Stage 4 Serous Carcinoma in July and started her chemotherapy treatments shortly after the diagnosis.
What the Aleman’s found out was that her insurance will not pay for her treatments and the medical bills are accumulating.
The Hearne Golf Association has stepped up and wants to help one of their own to give a golf tournament in her honor to help with the expenses she and her husband, Willie have as they go through the treatments.
Their friends and family have been there for them from the first day of her diagnosis and are still planning future fundraisers to help out.
There is a T-shirt that you can order to show your support and let her know everyone is behind her in every step she takes.
If you are interested in buying a shirt or two the cost is $20 per shirt and contact Mandy Deason Redmon or any one of her children to place your order. ”Faith over Fear” is the encouraging words on the T-shirt.
Recently there was a fundraiser involving a photo shoot that anyone could buy chances to win, bake sales, and on August 19 there was a Big Nana’s Benefit at Caney Creek Lodge. Everything that is being done to help is much appreciated by the family.
Ginger and Willie are so thankful to everyone that is helping with meals, goodies, prayers and words of encouragement given to them.
The Golf Tournament is scheduled for September 23, with a 4-man scramble with entry fee of $200. Registration is set for 7:00 a.m. with shotgun start at 8:00 a.m.
Barbeque plates will be sold for $10 per plate per person. There is the option for Hole Sponsorship for $200 per hole.
For early registration, hole sponsorship or questions please contact Willie Aleman at (979) 279-3112 or (979) 595-8377.
Carts and green fees are included in the $200 entry fee, if you have your own cart please bring do to the limited availability of the Hearne Golf Association’s golf carts.
There has also been an account opened for Ginger Aleman at Prosperity Bank for any donations that anyone would like to give in her name to help with her medical expenses.
Mark your calendar and lets make this the biggest golf tournament in the city of Hearne with all proceeds going to Ginger’s medical expenses.
