In Calvert, children of all ages gathered at the Katy Hamman-Stricker Historical Library located at 202 Mitchell Street in Calvert to listen to the Calvert Women’s Club read The Polar Express starting at 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
The fun started with singing of Christmas carols and each child taking turns reading other favorite Christmas books. As they all colored pictures of the Polar Express train, they listened to the story being read. Of course it wouldn’t be complete if there wasn’t yummy snacks to munch on, too.
