Betty Jo (Sissy) Bennett
Betty Jo Bennett aka, Sissy, 58, of Robertson County, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019, in her home. Her celebration of life service will be held on Sunday March 10, 2019 at the Hearne Club House at 12:00 p.m. Sissy was born to James Bennett and Margaret Hughes, on October 25, 1960, in Pasadena, Texas. Sissy was a correctional officer at the Hamilton Unit in Bryan Texas. Her personality and bright smile lit up any room she walked in. She was a loving Mimi, mother and motherin-law that loved spending her days off work watching her grand babies, shopping, and eating Mexican food. Her most cherished times were when she had her family and the many friends she considered family all together at one time. Sissy joins her parents, James Bennett and Margaret Hughes; and son Allan Morehead in Heaven. She is survived by her daughter, Kaneda Edwards and son-in-law, Jacob Edwards; granddaughters, Hailie Morehead, Scarlett Edwards, and Remi Edwards; sisters, Bambi Simpson, Melanie Edwards, Maudene Ward,and Cheryl Bryan; brothers, James “Bubba” Bennett, Tejay Pharis, Lance Bennett, and Curtis Pharis Jr.; and many nieces and nephews. Sissy was an amazing mother, mother in law, Mimi, sister, aunt and friend and was loved by everyone who knew her. Her memories will be carried on forever and she will be greatly missed.
