David Lee Davis
David Lee Davis 49 of Hearne passed away Monday, January 23, 2017. Visitation was held Friday, January 27, 2017 at Glenn Mack Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life honoring David was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Independent Missionary Baptist Church, Hearne, Texas. Rev. Walter Ward, Eulogist was assisted by Rev. Vince Humber, Rev. Eddie Taylor and Rev. James Crawford. David Davis was born on November 21, 1967 in Hearne, Teas to Lola Gibson and the late Dewitt Miles. He accepted Christ in his life and joined Independent Missionary Baptist Church in Hearne, under the leadership of Pastor Walter Ward. David graduated from Hearne High School in May of 1986. After graduation he moved to Dallas and later returned to Hearne. He was preceded in death by his Father; Dewitt Miles, grandmother; Lora Gibson, aunts; Lula Mae Cooks Williams and Bula Lee Brown and one uncle; Joe Gibson. David will be remembered as being a very quiet and humble person. He leaves to cherish his precious memories his mother; Lola Gibson Straughter (Raymond); three sons; Brandon Lehoski (Mandie) of McKinney, Christopher Davis (Anna) of Ft. Worth, and David Davis J. of Ft. Worth, two daughters; Daviell Johnson (Quendell) of Las Vegas, Nevada and Kristen Davis of Ft. Worth, one brother; Larry Davis of Sacramento, California, one sister; Sylvia Smith (Roderick) of Caldwell, half-brother; Keith Boone (Terri) of Hearne, two halfsisters; Felicia Thomas and Jacqueline Lewis both of Hearne, stepsiblings; Tamika Means (Dean) of Porter, Stacey Lattimore of Cameron, and Tony Lattimore of Killeen, seven grandchildren; Alain Francois, Quenyla Johnson, Quendall Johnson Jr., Chase Davis, Lexi Davis, Michael Blanco and Emma Blanco, four aunts; Ann Cubit of Cameron, Rosie McDole of Ft. Worth, Henrietta Gibson and Anna Jane Gibson both of Cameron, one uncle; Charles Gibson Jr. of Cameron, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousin, other relatives and friends that were blessed to have known him.Pallbearers: Terry Stewart, Mike Stewart, Sammie Jones, Rayford Smith, Jessie Brown, Steve Brown, and Willie (Nun) Turner. Arrangements and care were entrusted to Glenn Mack Funeral Home, Hearne, Texas.
