Laura Patranella Salvaggio

Laura Patrenella Salvaggio, 94, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Lampstand Health and Rehab in Bryan, Texas.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 with Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home in Hearne, Texas.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 21, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hearne, Texas.

Per Laura’s request, her obituary was to read as follows: “I had a great life!” Laura was born January 3, 1925 to Frank and Carrie Patranella in Mumford, Texas.

Mrs. Salvaggio was known for her many years of service at Hoyt’s Pharmacy in Hearne, Texas and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hearne.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Carrie Patranella; husband, Joe N. Salvaggio; daughter, Mary Chmiel; son-in-law, Kie Chmiel; brother, Frank Patranella; and sister, Lucy Vacante.

She is survived by son, Nunzio J. Salvaggio (Sharon); daughter, Kathy Salvaggio; brothers, Nick Patranella (Josie), Charlie Patranella (Dorothy), Johnny Patranella; sisters, Rosie Quinn, Marie Stetz (Alvin), Lena Williamsen, Josephine Rachal (Randy); and sister-in-law, Mary Patranella; grandchildren, David Brymer (Ann), Larry Brymer (Melodee), Chris Chmiel (Kara), Tonya Canatella (Rick), Tamara Hay (Kevin); great grandchildren, Joseph and Austin Canatella, Matthew Brymer, Haley Hay, Salena Chamber, Myke Jordan, Steven Loper, and Anita Burlin (Patrick); great-great grandchildren, Fansi and Hagen Burlin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Lampstand Health and Rehab, Hospice Brazos Valley, and Anali Hernandez for their support and care of Laura.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hearne or Brazos Valley Hospice.

All arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home in Hearne, Texas.
