Lester Ott o Lindeman
Lester Otto Lindeman, 85, of Hearne, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 at the VA Hospital in Temple. He was born in Ben Arnold, Texas to Ben Lindeman and Martha Krause Lindeman on November 8, 1932. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a sheet metal worker until he retired. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hearne. Lester was married to Catherine Lehman Lindeman for 61 years. Visitation was held Tuesday, February 6, 6:00 p.m. till time of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m., both at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hearne. Mass and memorial service were held Wednesday, February 7, 10:00 a.m. also at St. Mary’s. Entombment followed in St. Mary’s Mausoleum. Pallbearers were his grandson’s, Aaron Ottaway, Stephen Lindeman Jr., Ben Lindeman, Evan Lindeman, Trayce Lindeman, and Coulton Lindeman. Honorary Pallbearers were his great grandsons. Lester is pre-deceased by his parents, Ben Lindeman and Martha Krause Lindeman. Survivors include his beloved wife, Catherine of Hearne; sons and daughters in law, Steve and Andie Lindeman of Elkhart, Texas, Bill and Tonya Lindeman of Brownwood, Texas, Gary and Melissa Lindeman of Chilton, Texas, J.D. Lindeman of Bryan; daughters and sons in law, Cindy and Charlie Ottaway; and Linda Purl all of College Station, Mary and Vincent Richter of Thrall, Texas; brother and sister in law, Raymond and Geraldine Lindeman of Caldwell; sisters, Irene Gelner of Palestine, Texas, Leola Komar of Rosebud, Texas; 17 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Arrangements were entrusted to Heartfield-Ritter Funeral Home.
