Warren Moore was born on October 1, 1920 in Sherman, Texas to James William Moore and Margaret Cook Moore. He passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 in Bryan, Texas at the age of 97 years. He spent his early years growing up in Robertson County and married Merle Bishop on December 26, 1941. Mr. Moore was a World War II Veteran serving in the United States Army. He was retired from Southern Pacific railroad and was also employed as a truck driver. He was a resident of Robertson County for the past 40 years previously living in Houston. Mr. Moore was a member of the Elliott Baptist Church and of the V.F.W. Post 9873 Franklin, Texas. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Elmer, Leon, Hollis, Vernon and Wilburn Moore; and by his sisters, Lois Fruzia and Fannie Sweaks. He is survived by his loving Wife, Merle Moore of Franklin; Daughter and Son-in-law, Marlyn E. and Elmer R. Tinnell of Bryan; Son, Ellis W. Moore of Franklin; Sister, Marie Potter of Caldwell; 6 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at McCauley Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Elliott Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Elliott Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elliott Baptist Church, Elliott Cemetery Association or to the Hospice Brazos Valley.
