The Gause Volunteer Fire Department will be holding their Second Annual Catfish Tournament starting May 3 through May 5, 2019.

There will fishermen and women catching fish. All fish have to be caught in any public water in the state of Texas. A maximum 100 hooks in the water and there will be a polygraph test given to one randomly selected person from each winning team..

The general category will cost $200 per team and each of the four side pots will cost $25. The winner of the general category will be based on the team with the heaviest stringer of up to 10 catfish.

The winner of each side pot will be based on the team with the heaviest species in each given side pot (blue, yellow, channel, most fish).

Weigh in will be held at Gause VFD on Sunday May 5 starting at 12:00 a.m. and ending at 1:00 p.m. sharp. Fish must be ALIVE in order to qualify for weigh in. All fish submitted for weigh in become property of the Gause Volunteer Fire Department.
