FRANKLIN — Registration for Robertson County Flag Football will open July 13 for students entering prekindergarten through sixth grade. The youth league is designed to emphasize hard work, skill development, effort, sportsmanship, offensive and defensive concepts, and leadership qualities. Divisions will include incoming prekindergarten and kindergarten, first and second grade, third and fourth grade, and fifth and sixth grade. The league will run for about six weeks, from Sept. 12 through Oct. 17. Practices will be held twice a week for one hour until games begin. Once games begin, teams will practice once a week for one hour. Games will be played only on Saturday afternoons at The Ranch in Franklin. League organizers said players must attend Franklin ISD with no exceptions. Registration forms should not be returned to the school. Forms and payment must be received by Aug. 28 at 6 p.m., with no exceptions. The registration fee is $80 for one player, $140 for two siblings and $210 for three siblings. Late registration on Aug. 28 will cost $100 per player. Non-metal cleats are allowed but are not mandatory. Jerseys and flags will be provided. Black shorts are acceptable. Dylan Busby news@robconews.com Robertson County News FRANKLIN — Franklin Independent School District has announced the addition of two new educators to the Franklin Middle School staff for the 2026-27 school year. Kyli Daughters will join the campus as the fifth-grade English Language Arts and Reading teacher, while Hogan Daughters will serve as the technology applications teacher. District officials welcomed the pair to the Franklin Middle School team as preparations continue for the start of the new academic year. The district said the additions will help strengthen the campus staff and support continued academic growth for students. The new hires are part of the district’s ongoing summer preparations as Franklin ISD introduces faculty members and prepares campuses for students to return. School districts across the state use the summer months to fill teaching positions, finalize schedules, prepare classrooms and support new staff members before the first day of school. At Franklin Middle School, the addition of a fifth-grade English Language Arts and Reading teacher and a technology applications teacher will provide students with support in both core academics and digital learning. English language arts instruction helps build reading, writing and communication skills, while technology applications courses give students tools to navigate digital platforms, develop computer skills and prepare for future academic and career opportunities. Franklin ISD officials said they are excited to welcome Kyli Daughters and Hogan Daughters to the district and look forward to the work they will do with students and staff.
