FRANKLIN, Texas — The Franklin Lions will kick off their 2026 varsity football season Aug. 28 at home against La Vega. Franklin will remain home Sept. 4 against Newton before traveling to Robinson on Sept. 18. District competition begins Sept. 25 when the Lions host Little River Academy. Franklin will also face district opponents Cameron Yoe, Lorena, McGregor, Caldwell, Rockdale and Troy during the regular season. The Lions have six home games scheduled, including three consecutive home contests against Caldwell and Rockdale following an Oct. 16 trip to McGregor. Franklin concludes the regular season Nov. 6 on the road against Troy.
