FRANKLIN, Texas — Franklin Independent School District’s Student Council raised $3,806 during a Pass the Helmet fundraiser Friday night to support two families grieving the loss of students last weekend. The fundraiser was held during Friday night’s activities, with community members contributing donations in a show of support for the families. The money collected was divided equally between the two families. Following the game, Student Council members presented the funds to the coach, along with a tribute cross honoring the students who died. District officials expressed appreciation to the Franklin community for its generosity and support during a difficult time. The Student Council thanked everyone who contributed to the fundraiser and helped make the effort successful. The collection provided an opportunity for students, families and community members to come together while offering financial assistance and honoring the memories of the students.
