HEARNE, Texas — The Hearne Eagles will open their 2026 varsity football season at home Aug. 28 against Thrall, beginning a 10-game regular-season schedule. Hearne hosts Burton on Sept. 4 before traveling to Bremond on Sept. 11. The Eagles return home Sept. 18 to face Hempstead. District competition begins Oct. 2 when Hearne hosts Granger. The Eagles will also battle Thorndale, Rosebud-Lott, Bruceville-Eddy, Marlin and Moody in district action. Hearne has six home games and four road contests scheduled. The Eagles close the regular season Nov. 6 with a road matchup against Moody.
